Overview

After many years VRiSBI will organize an international research project (IRP) for the academic year 2007/2008. This year our study association has chosen Ireland as destination for our IRP.

The IRP is a cooperation between VRiSBI and the department of Econometrics. The development and the pleasure of learning for the student is important to us. We want to give students the opportunity to do real research while at the same time introduce them to companies.

The reason why we chose for Ireland is because Ireland is a good example of how a country can stimulate innovation. It has a thriving ICT sector which attracts numerous outside companies. A group of 17 Economics & Informatics and a university supervisor will be visiting Ireland in the new academic year. The general research topic is 'Innovation & ICT'. During one week in October (week 41) we will visit a number of Irish companies and government departments and conduct case studies there related to this topic. The research trip is part of a course on 'Innovation Management' and is sponsored by our university and a number of Dutch companies
